Take a moment to learn more about the entire Invisalign treatment process and how it can help you.

How Does It Work?

Invisalign Treatment Process

Invisalign works by using a series of retainer-like aligners to gradually move the teeth into the optimal position. Our team at Dunegan & Cole will create a custom treatment plan just for you.

01

A Custom Treatment Plan is Created Just for You

Our orthodontists will examine your mouth and jaw to determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign and show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move with each stage of treatment.

02

Receive Your Custom Invisalign Aligners

Based on your treatment plan, a series of custom-made aligners are created specifically for you. These are 100% safe and made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your cheeks and gums.

03

Wear a New Aligner Every 1-2 weeks

Each aligner is worn for 1-2 weeks, 20-22 hours per day, and only taken out to eat, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will begin to move gradually until your perfect smile is achieved.

Why Invisalign

Invisalign Advantage

Invisalign aligners are comfortable, low profile, custom-made clear plastic trays that most people don’t even know you are wearing. Here are some more of the great advantages of Invisalign.

Invisalign FAQs

How often will I come in for an appointment?

It depends on what’s being done, and how often you need to be monitored. During active treatment, you’ll typically come in to our office once every 4 to 10 weeks.

Can I get Invisalign treatment on just my top or bottom teeth?

Yes – treatment options for Invisalign are available for just top or bottom teeth. However, you should always consult Dr. Dunegan or Dr. Cole for your individual needs.

Can I get Invisalign if I’ve already had braces?

Yes, many people who find that their teeth have shifted back after having braces choose Invisalign treatment as the discrete solution to improve their smile.

Does my insurance cover Invisalign?

Dunegan & Cole Orthodontics accepts and works with all dental insurance providers, so we’re happy to talk with your insurance company to determine your exact benefits for orthodontic treatment. Usually if your insurance covers braces, it also will cover Invisalign and other types of orthodontic treatment.

If you’re already paying for those dental benefits — or your employer has provided them for you — then why not take full advantage of them? Schedule your free consultation today, and we’ll evaluate your insurance coverage before your initial appointment.
